وَكَذَٰلِكَ مَكَّنَّا لِيُوسُفَ فِي الْأَرْضِ يَتَبَوَّأُ مِنْهَا حَيْثُ يَشَاءُ ۚ نُصِيبُ بِرَحْمَتِنَا مَنْ نَشَاءُ ۖ وَلَا نُضِيعُ أَجْرَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
So We established Joseph in the land, to make his dwelling there wherever he would. We visit with Our mercy whomsoever We will, and We leave not to waste the wage of the good-doers.

(Thus gave We power to Joseph in the land) the land of Egypt. (He was the owner of it) who could go in this land (where be pleased. We reach with our mercy) with prophethood and Islam (whom We will) whoever deserves it. (We lose not) We thwart not (the reward of the good) the reward of the believers who do good in their deeds and speech.
