The Resurrection

75 - Al-Qiyaama

  • 75:34
    34

Your ruin has come close, still closer.

  • 75:35
    35

Again your ruin has come close, still closer.

  • 75:37
    37

Was he not just a drop of the semen that is discharged?

  • 75:36
    36

Does man assume that he will be let loose?

  • 75:1
    1

I swear by the Day of Resurrection.

  • 75:2
    2

And by oath of the soul that reproaches itself.

  • 75:3
    3

Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones?

  • 75:4
    4

Surely yes, why not? We can properly make all his phalanxes.

  • 75:5
    5

In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him!

  • 75:6
    6

He asks, “When will be the Day of Resurrection?”

  • 75:7
    7

So when the eyes will be blinded by light.

  • 75:8
    8

And the moon will be eclipsed.

  • 75:9
    9

And the sun and the moon will be united.

  • 75:10
    10

On that day man will cry out, “Where shall I flee?”

  • 75:11
    11

    Never! There is no refuge!

  • 75:12
    12

On that day, the station is only towards your Lord.

  • 75:13
    13

On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind.

  • 75:14
    14

In fact, man himself is keeping an eye on his state of affairs!

  • 75:15
    15

And even if he presents all the excuses he has, none will be listened to.

  • 75:16
    16

O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster.

  • 75:17
    17

Indeed assembling the Qur’an and reading it are upon Us.

  • 75:18
    18

So when We have read it, you should thereupon follow what is read.

  • 75:19
    19

Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us.

  • 75:20
    20

None except you, O disbelievers – you love what you have, the fleeting one.

  • 75:21
    21

And you have forsaken the Hereafter.

  • 75:22
    22

On that day, some faces will shine with freshness.

  • 75:23
    23

    Looking toward their Lord.

  • 75:24
    24

And on that day some faces will be ghastly.

  • 75:25
    25

Knowing that they will be subjected to a torment that breaks the backs.

  • 75:26
    26

Yes indeed, when the soul will reach up to the throat.

  • 75:27
    27

And they will say, “Is there any one – any magician?”

  • 75:28
    28

And he will realise that this is the parting.

  • 75:29
    29

And one shin will curl up with the other shin.

  • 75:30
    30

On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord.

  • 75:31
    31

Neither did he believe it to be true, nor did he offer the prayer.

  • 75:32
    32

But he denied and turned away.

  • 75:33
    33

Then he went back to his home in pride.

  • 75:38
    38

He then became a clot – so Allah created him, then made him proper.

  • 75:39
    39

So created from him a pair, the male and female.

  • 75:40
    40

So will He, Who has done all this, not be able to revive the dead?
