    فَمَا اسْطَاعُوا أَنْ يَظْهَرُوهُ وَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا لَهُ نَقْبًا

    And thus [the rampart was built, and] their enemies were unable to scale it, and neither were they able to pierce it.
